Hello and welcome! We decided to approach this as a sort of FAQ. If there is something here unanswered, please do feel free to send us a note about it.

Are you a guild or kingdom? Not exactly. We are a group though. The main difference is that to role play here one must simply want to role play and have fun either in room play or on the message board or in the QCC. Membership is based on flat rentals and in some cases shop rentals or office rentals. Shop rentals and Office rentals only constitute membership if requested by the person at the time the application for rentals is done.

I don't quite understand. If it is based on rental how does that encompass membership? We decided to go for a different approach in setting up a role play setting. Instead of the standard guild/kingdom approach where someone is beholden to the rules and regulations of others, we have set up in a way that people can interact with one another in a living, working or professional environment. The only rules that apply are the rules agreed to when taking the rental space and are centered around property destruction and the payment of the rental property.

Where is the Crossing Stone located? In laying out where and how to set up the Crossing Stone we decided to place it in Rhydin Proper near the downtown area right by the park and four blocks from the dock. Since we have been playing the SL has grown to encompass that all around the Crossing Stone, the Kingdom of Talernon has been buying land, property etc. So while Crossing Stone is in Rhydin it sits amidst a Kingdom's foreign holding.

I don't see an application, how do I join? Ahh yes, we don't have a conventional application, rather it is based on flat rental or in some cases shop space rental or office rental and there are limited numbers of all. Do I have to be a member to play and post? No, Membership is not required to play or post within the Crossing Stone setting. However there are boards and some play that is open solely to those that hold membership status.

Do I have to be a member to rent/lease space? No you do not.

Do I have to use QCC to interact here? No. Using QCC is optional, however we only do banking information for the QC as it is a trackable coin. Also, if you do not use QC, please be sure when browsing the stores to note if they accept gold or not. Some will and some will not.

Will I be on a mailstring and recieve mail? In some instances yes. Whether a full fledged "Crossing Stone" member or not, if you are involved in the QCC aspects of Crossing Stone or rent shop space, you will recieve mail from us regarding that. Members do recieve mail as well informing of pertinent information or SL's as required or needed. There will be a news letter that goes out at some point.
